I am currenly offering Clinical/Caseload supervision to qualified and trainee practitioners in counselling and psychotherapy. My experience has led me to work for the Primary Care Trust, Social Services Children's Services and Vulnerable Adults. My core experience has come from running and developing my own very successful private practice but I also work with young people (10-19 years old) for an organisation for people who have experienced sexual violence. My MSc. thesis was in the area of psychotherapeutic treatment of clients who have experienced sexual violence/abuse, however I have a wealth of experience of working with most life issues. I enjoy providing Clinical/Caseload supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists and have a particular interest in trainees and newly qualified practitioners as I believe that quality supervision particularly at these early stages provides a good 'grounding' for further professional development. I offer supervision from my office at home in Whittle-le-Woods. The first session will last up to one hour and is free of charge. This is a chance to get to know each other and see if we can work together. The BACP have a 'baseline' for the amount of counselling supervision considered ethically necessary. One and a half hours per month is considered a minimum for an experienced therapist with a relatively 'light' caseload. Fees are as follows: £30 per hour for trainees & £40 per hour for qualified practitioners. If you work as a volunteer counsellor the fee is £30 per hour whether you are qualified or a trainee. “Supervision is a regular, protected time for facilitated, in-depth reflection on clinical practice.” (Bond & Holland, 1998)
